Using it
Will it send anything without asking me?
No. Mobster’s agent stops before it sends, buys, posts or deletes, shows you the exact text and waits for your OK. That’s on by default in Mobster for Mac and mobster chat. If nobody answers in 10 minutes, the task ends without it. Claude Code is different: when it taps the phone directly, only its own permission prompts apply.
Does my screen go through your servers?
No. There’s no Mobster server between your agent and your iPhone. Mobster’s agent sends each step’s screen text and a small screenshot to Anthropic or OpenAI, on your key. An agent you connect sees what Mobster’s tools return to it.
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon and Xcode, signed in to an Apple ID (a free one works), an iPhone with Developer Mode on, and a USB data cable. Mobster’s agent runs on your Anthropic or OpenAI key. Plan on 10 minutes or more for the first setup. Mobster CLI on its own also needs Homebrew.
Why not use Siri or ChatGPT?
Siri and ChatGPT reach the apps and services that built a hook for them. Mobster taps through the app itself, signed in as you, so it doesn’t need one. The catch: your Mac has to be awake and your iPhone plugged in.
Does it work over Wi-Fi?
No. Your iPhone stays plugged into your Mac with a cable while Mobster works.
What can it do?
Long tasks in the apps on your iPhone: scroll Reels for ten minutes and tell you what it learned, go through your matches and pick the most promising, find the best ramen across Maps, Yelp and Instagram and book a table. It opens apps, reads each screen, taps, types and swipes, and you can follow up on what it found. It can’t get past Face ID, your passcode or a CAPTCHA, and games that draw their own screens don’t work.
Can I use my phone while it works?
Not while a task runs, because Mobster is tapping on it. Watch it in Mobster for Mac, and take over with a click.
Does my iPhone need to stay unlocked?
Yes. Mobster can’t type your passcode or use Face ID, so a locked phone stops the task.
What does it put on my iPhone?
One helper app, built from the open-source WebDriverAgent and signed with your Apple ID. Delete it like any other app.
Which AI does it use?
Mobster’s agent runs on your Anthropic or OpenAI key, billed by them. Get a key at console.anthropic.com. You can also connect Claude Code or any agent you write, through mobster mcp, mobster run --json or the local HTTP API.
What does a task cost?
Mobster’s agent spends on your AI key, and each task has a spending cap. An agent you connect spends on its own model. A check that only launches your app calls no model.
Can it run on a schedule?
Yes. Mobster for Mac runs a saved task on a schedule while your Mac is awake and your iPhone is plugged in and unlocked. A step that needs your OK waits for you.
Can I control a phone that isn’t plugged into this Mac?
No. Your iPhone has to be plugged into the Mac that runs Mobster.
Does it work on Android?
No. iPhones and iOS simulators.
Which iOS versions?
Tested on an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 26, and on iOS 26 simulators.
Buying
Can I try it first?
Yes. Mobster CLI is free, and mobster --demo runs it with a scripted phone: no iPhone, no key, no model calls. Lifetime also comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Lifetime has a 14-day money-back guarantee: write to support@radish.software within 14 days of buying, with your receipt number, and you get your money back. Monthly cancels anytime, and the license keeps working to the end of the period you paid for. How refunds work.
How do I cancel?
Go to mobster.dev/manage and sign in with the email you paid with, or use Settings › License › Manage subscription in the app. Both open Stripe’s billing page, where you can cancel, change your card and download invoices. The license keeps working to the end of the month you paid for. Lifetime has nothing to cancel.
I can’t find my purchase.
Find it here with the email you paid with, and we email it to you. With the receipt number from your Stripe receipt, it shows right on the page.
Developers
I build iOS apps. What’s in it for me?
mobster verify: your coding agent states what must be true of a screen, runs your app on a simulator Mobster manages, and gets pass or fail from the accessibility tree with the frames that prove it. A model never decides the verdict. How mobster verify works.
Do the checks heal themselves?
No. Every step runs live, and a failed assertion fails the check.
Why does it need Developer Mode and Xcode?
Mobster drives the iPhone through WebDriverAgent, a runner built on Apple’s testing tools, which runs only with Developer Mode on and an Apple signature. That’s what lets it read every control by name and drive simulators too. Mobster for Mac builds and signs the runner and, with a free Apple ID, renews it before its 7 days run out. If you can’t turn on Developer Mode, TapKit works without it.
How do I install WebDriverAgent on my iPhone?
You don’t install it by hand. Turn on Developer Mode, and Mobster for Mac builds WebDriverAgent with your Xcode, signs it with your Apple ID (a free one works), starts it on the iPhone over USB and renews the free signature before its 7 days run out. From the CLI, mobster serve --manage-device does the same, and mobster doctor checks each part. Device setup in the docs.
How is it different from TapKit?
TapKit needs no Developer Mode and works from anywhere through its cloud. Mobster reads the accessibility tree instead of screenshots, keeps commands on your Mac, has an agent that asks before it sends, drives simulators, and costs $34.99 one time, where TapKit is $49 a month per phone. See the comparison.
How is it different from Appium?
Both drive iOS through WebDriverAgent. Appium gives your test code a driver in many languages. Mobster gives an agent each screen as the button names VoiceOver reads, phone tools over MCP, and pass or fail from assertions. See the comparison.
